Matt Gaetz’s fate has just been sealed

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Last night we warned you that today’s Joel Greenberg plea deal hearing was unlikely to produce the names of the people he’s turned state’s evidence against. This hearing was more about whether the judge found the plea deal acceptable. The judge did allow the deal to go through today, and Greenberg pleaded guilty, thus sealing the fate of everyone Greenberg has flipped on.

We say “has flipped on” in the past tense because it’s already happened. Greenberg would have done a proffer session and coughed up everything he had before he was given a deal. So the Feds already have all of that, and are already running with it.

We still don’t have confirmation of whether Matt Gaetz is one of the men Greenberg says he witnessed having sex with an underage girl. But on the previous court date, Greenberg’s lawyer publicly stated that Gaetz had a lot to worry about – so Greenberg has clearly coughed up evidence against Gaetz on some criminal charge.

Matt Gaetz is reportedly being criminally investigated for a number of federal crimes, any one of which would send him to prison. His best bet was if the Joel Greenberg plea deal somehow fell apart before it could become official in court today. That didn’t happen, and now Gaetz’s fate is sealed.
