Matt Gaetz sinks to a whole new level of disgusting
I recently wrote an article for Palmer Report where I noted that it appears since the overturning of Roe, the amount of misogyny from women-hating Republicans seems to have gone way up. And I stand by that. It’s as if they have become emboldened, more brazen, letting their hate and obnoxiousness shine through.
It saddens me. This story saddens me. Because this story is about Matt Gaetz, and it isn’t pretty. This Saturday, Gaetz gave a speech at Turning Point USA Student Action. And he went off on a tangent that was so hateful that I seriously contemplated not even writing about it because of the level of disgust it involves.
But I do believe it is important — very — to call this crap out. Gaetz attempted to mock women who attended Pro-choice rallies. Calling the protesters “disgusting,” Gaetz proceeded to mock their looks — all of them — and say these women had a small chance of getting pregnant anyway.
“Why is it that the women with the least likelihood of getting pregnant are the ones most worried about having abortions?”
He then explained, “nobody wants to impregnate you” if you “look like a thumb.”
Gaetz mocked the weight of any woman who attends pro-choice rallies. He mocked their bodies. He mocked everything about them.
If Gaetz did that to an employee, he could be sued for sexual harassment. The level of disgust I feel toward Gaetz- and surely you feel as well- is high. I wish I could tell you he will not be reelected, but he’s in a very red area.
The investigation into Gaetz is ongoing. I know many of you want it to move faster, as do I. But I AM confident that he won’t get away with his crimes.
Gaetz has no idea about women and what they’re all about. The truth is Gaetz speaks like a frat boy with the brain of a wired teenager. He obviously thinks of himself as far more witty than he is and the only ones laughing at his pathetic remarks are fellow misogynists.
And a word of advice to Gaetz –stop with the hair gel already! Your hair looks like it’s carrying a corpse in there. Take this matter seriously. To summarize — an extremely unpleasant story about a silly and hateful man who hopefully very soon will have an in-person date with the toughest woman of all — Lady Justice.
