Matt Gaetz goes berserk after his blanket subpoena request is outed
Major news outlets long ago already reported that Matt Gaetz unsuccessfully sought a pardon from Donald Trump, and Gaetz has refuted that reporting. Ever since that time, we’ve all just been waiting for the DOJ to inevitably indict Gaetz.
But today’s January 6th public hearing suddenly put Gaetz front and center again, when witnesses and evidence were presented that Gaetz sought a broad preemptive blanket pardon that covered his entire life up to that point.
Gaetz is apparently no longer bothering to deny the pardon story, and instead tweeted this berserk meltdown: “The January 6 Committee is an unconstitutional political sideshow. It is rapidly losing the interest of the American people and now resorts to siccing federal law enforcement on political opponents.”
Clearly, Matt Gaetz is rattled by the fact that the DOJ has carried out a lawful search warrant at the home of Jeffrey Clark, and carried out subpoenas and seizures against numerous others involved in Trump’s fake elector plot. Gaetz has to be worried that his own arrest, on various charges including alleged underage sex trafficking, could finally be coming down soon.
