Mary Trump says Donald Trump just made “one of the biggest mistakes” of his life
Donald Trump just keeps finding new ways to lose, and news ways to blow it. He’s losing on all fronts, and not just because he’s cornered. Trump is also making a number of unforced errors, as he makes panic moves in the midst of an increasingly senile haze.
Yesterday, Palmer Report said that Donald Trump’s attempt at pivoting on abortion was an unqualified disaster for him. It reeked of a candidate who has no idea what’s going on, flanked by the kind of hapless advisors who end up working for a candidate who has no idea what’s going on. It turns out we’re not the only ones who see it that way.
Mary Trump tweeted that her uncle’s abortion debacle was “one of the biggest mistakes he ever made. Not only did he take credit for overturning Roe V. Wade, when he said abortion should be left to the states, he infuriated Evangelicals who want a total abortion ban without exceptions, and independents who don’t want states to ban abortion.”
She’s right, of course. It’s also worth emphasizing that while Donald Trump has long made one political blunder after another, this abortion debacle is an entirely new kind of mistake on his part – and it points to his senility getting worse than ever.
