Marjorie Taylor Greene just can’t help herself

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Marjorie Taylor Greene just doesn’t know when to shut her big mouth. According to Raw Story, she has renewed her threats to oust Mike Johnson. She obviously has no idea how many people dislike her and want her out of Congress. Last week, Republicans cheered as conservative media posted story after story denigrating her. The Hill claimed that MTG “still has a number of prominent voices taking aim at Speaker Mike Johnson.” Then, they mention Steve Bannon who is a nobody where Congress is concerned. His mouth is as big and offensive as MTG’s, but he’s on the outside looking in, so who cares what he thinks? She needs the support of her fellow members of Congress, and that’s not looking too good for her.

MTG claims that, based on a report, the U.S. will be funding Ukraine for the next 10 years. She claimed: “Permanent funding for Ukraine is exactly what they want, and Mike Johnson will give it to them. Peace is not an option for them because it doesn’t fit the government appropriations war business and economic model, which is vile and disgusting.” Greene doesn’t care about peace. If she did, she would practice what she preaches instead of constantly creating turmoil. Johnson, on the other hand, said what he thinks in the best way: “I don’t think about her all day.” He shouldn’t. He helped to successfully pass a bipartisan bill that will ultimately benefit the country, and many on both sides want him to stay in the position.

The Hill reported that Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) continues to say that Democrats will be inclined to save Johnson. Appearing on MSNBC’s “This Weekend,” Moskowitz said that Democrats will ultimately take their cue from House Minority Leader Hakeen Jeffries (D-NY) and decided that about all Greene is worth is telling jokes about her. He said: “We won’t even let her name a post office. We’re not going to let her take out the Speaker.” While Moskowitz’s disdain for Greene is expected, several Republicans are tired of her as well.

According to NBC News, Thom Tillis (R-NC) called Greene “a threat to the Republican Party.” He went on to say: “She is a horrible leader. She is dragging our brand down. She-not the Democrats-are the biggest risk to us getting back the majority.” Perhaps, but Donald Trump is at the root of the problem, yet they refuse to acknowledge that. Trump created the Greenes in Congress. They idolize him, and they do his bidding. Greene is merely a symptom; Trump is the disease. Until they shake him off themselves, they will find more Greenes burning down Congress. This is a simple problem to fix. Get rid of Trump, and his minions won’t be far behind him. Destroy the king, and his kingdom will fall, including his jesters.
