Marjorie Taylor Greene has apparently been expelled from her own House Freedom Caucus

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The “House Freedom Caucus” has always been a way for the most extremist, unhinged, and corrupt of right wing House Republicans to portray themselves as somehow being patriotic. In reality these types have only ever been looking to line their pockets by using horrid behavior to goad the lowest of trash into donating to them. But now this “Freedom Caucus” is falling apart from within.

The House Freedom Caucus has apparently voted to expel Marjorie Taylor Greene from its ranks, according to a new report from Politico. This is a bit surreal, given that from the outside it appeared she had become the de facto leader of the group. She had certainly become the face of the group.

The kicker is that Greene hasn’t been booted for poor behavior or being too horrible of a person. No, she’s been booted for not being insane enough. Apparently her decision to support a semi-sane Speaker like Kevin McCarthy has alienated her from her fellow lunatics.

In any case, a majority of Americans would rather see Marjorie Taylor Greene expelled from the House entirely. But that would require a two-thirds House vote so it won’t happen any time soon. In the meantime at least the House Insurrectionist Caucus (let’s call it what it really is) has begun eating itself alive.
