Marco Rubio hits the panic button as Val Demings comes closer

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Political moderators are very important in the game of politics. These moderators ask the tough (or not so tough) questions, so it’s vitally important to have the right ones. It’s especially important this year. There is so much to hit the Republicans on, in debates, it’s difficult to know where to begin.

But we need the right moderators. We need seasoned professionals who know bullshit when they see it, who will be unrelenting in their questioning, and who won’t back down. Take, for example, Marco Rubio. Right now, Val Demings is only two points behind him in one poll. I’d love it if she were ahead, but there is plenty of time, and she’s in a good place at the moment.

Rubio, on the other hand, is melting down. Just about every week, there is another story about his cowardice. And yet he still might win. He might win because many people consistently vote against their own self-interest — we know that. Let’s talk about the latest Rubio idiocy.

As you know, Trump is currently involved in a paper scandal. He’s been accused of hiding paper, burning paper, flushing paper. Paper is assolini’s friend, that’s for sure — even if nobody else is.

But Trump has also been accused of mishandling possible classified information — a very serious accusation. Not too little Marco, though. Speaking with Bret Baier on Fox Non-News, Rubio insisted that Trump’s actions regarding his best friend paper were not a crime.

But he ALSO — and this is essential — cast doubt on whether any of what’s been reported is even true:

“I don’t know what’s true and what’s not,” he said.

“Nowadays, in the mainstream media, you just need one source to smear Donald Trump.”

“And maybe you don’t even need that.”

Does this guy have any idea how moronic he sounds? I highly doubt it. The fact is if what Trump is being accused of IS true, it IS a crime — no matter what Rubio uses as talking points.

So, back to moderators. We need tough moderators who won’t let Rubio try to get out of answering the questions. Because we all know if Rubio has to answer ANY tough questions with any seriousness, the Rubio robot will malfunction again badly.
