Manhattan DA hangs up on Jim Jordan

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Is there no end, my friends — no end to the utterly insane, vapid, stupid, crazy decisions of one Gym Jordan? I doubt it. Gym Jordan may just be the most stupid member of Congress.

And there is a long list of contenders for that title. But somehow, Jordan has managed to rise like cream to the occasion — proving that with Jordan, there really is no end to the trail of stupid. So the other day, we reported on how Gym was basically torn to shreds by Bragg. Gym seems to be set on inserting himself into the trump investigation, which he’s already tried to do.

On Thursday, Jeff Tiedrich tweeted the following: “need a good laugh? Jim Jordan’s lawyer tried to phone Alvin Bragg, and whoever answered the phone at Bragg’s office hung up on him. Twice. You read that right: twice.” (it’s true)

Oh, Gym, Gym, you of the baby blue attire and the ear-splitting bellows — don’t you EVER learn? The answer to that question is no; he does not. And he truly looks like he has walked into the cuckoo’s nest with no way out. A bit more on these utterly absurd phone calls.

Per the NY Times, Gym’s lawyer called the Bragg office Wednesday. The reason for the call, he says, is to ask who can receive a subpoena in Bragg’s office.

This same attorney also claimed an aide of Jordan had previously called and was hung up on twice.

My feeling? I do not believe these people were calling about a subpoena. I think they just want to harass Bragg and his office, maybe get out a soundbite for the Fox crowd. The GOP has done everything else — why not prank phone calls?

Prank phone calls ARE fun — when one is about five. However, adults in Congress are not supposed to harass a district attorney’s office.

So what’s next, people? Perhaps Gym and company can Astro-project themselves into Bragg’s office where Jordan can scream to his heart’s content. I used to think Jordan’s Mr. Scream act was just that — an act. He cannot, I mused, possibly be like that off-camera.

I apologize. I was wrong. The thing is, Gym I believe, really is that dense, that dumb, and that bombastic. What the HECK is he thinking putting his aides and lawyers up to randomly phoning the NY DA’s office? Is there NO line he won’t cross? Rhetorical question. The good side of all this is that Gym continues to amuse us with his dazzling array of daily bullshit.
