Making waves
I so love headlines like the following: “Kamala Harris is winning the fundraising race by a mile.” – Mother Jones. What a GREAT headline to start this most important political week. Of course, she is! Of course, her numbers are through the roof! The enthusiasm on our side is so high it could touch the moon! New voters, old voters, young voters, black voters, white voters, brown voters—everyone is rushing to donate to Kamala Harris.
During the month of August, Harris raised a staggering $361 million! I repeat $361 million, dwarfing the Trump campaign’s meager $139 million — nearly tripling that number. And they said it was just a ” honeymoon.” Silly little rabbits, aren’t they, friends and readers?
There is no doubt about it: Harris is making waves, and these waves are green! The amazing thing is Harris transferred $25 million to down-ballot races to help our candidates, but even after that, she still has quite a bit more money in the bank than the trump campaign.
Trump had this to say: “Wow. I am awed by my opponent’s political skills and ability to fund-raise. She’s ‘doing an excellent job and I ‘look forward to her beating me in November and becoming the first black women president.”
Just kidding. Trump said — well, we don’t know WHAT he might be thinking because he hasn’t commented on this most staggering number. Instead, Trump is doing Trump, you know, the usual, threatening people, bullying people, complaining, whining, and in general being an asshole. That’s our Donald! But Kamala is leaving him in the DUST. This is quite the fundraising haul. Things continue to get better for Kamala every single day as things steadily continue to get worse for Donald John Trump.
