Joe Biden just appeared to make a major hint about his running mate

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

If Joe Biden comes out of tomorrow with any size win in Michigan, to go along with his expected blowout wins in Missouri and Mississippi, the primary contest will essentially be over. People still need to show up and vote tomorrow. But you have to figure that in the back of Biden’s mind, he already knows what he wants to do as far as his running mate.

On Monday night, Joe Biden appeared on Lawrence O’Donnell’s MSNBC show and listed off a few things he’s looking for in a running mate. He hinted that he’s looking for someone who is a woman, and who is a person of color, and who has experience on the national debate stage.

If you haven’t done the process of elimination, that leaves Kamala Harris as the only person who fits the description. Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar have been on the national debate stage, but they’re not women of color. Stacey Abrams is a woman of color who ran for Governor of Georgia, but she hasn’t been on the national debate stage.

So if Joe Biden meant what he said tonight literally, he appears to be hinting that Kamala Harris is going to be his running mate. Of course there are different ways to parse these kinds of things, and with a fast moving race, things could always change. But there you have it. Take it for whatever it’s worth.
