Lordy, there are text messages in the Matt Gaetz criminal probe

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Earlier this week we all learned that the federal criminal investigation into the Joel Greenberg – Matt Gaetz scandal has been subpoenaing information on an associate of theirs named Joe Ellicott. Now this has turned out to be a big deal, because Ellicott reportedly sent text messages confessing that he and his associates had sex with an underage girl.

This means a couple things. First, Ellicott is in real trouble. These text messages will be seen by prosecutors as a confession. They’ll use it to pressure Ellicott into cutting a cooperating plea deal. And given that Joel Greenberg has already cut a cooperating plea deal, Ellicott will have to flip on whoever is left within their circle of associates. At that point those remaining associates will have two cooperating witnesses providing evidence and testimony against them.

Joel Greenberg stated in his plea agreement that he witnessed multiple unnamed men having sex with an underage girl. This still does not confirm that Matt Gaetz is one of them. All we know for certain is that Greenberg’s attorney has publicly stated that Greenberg was giving up Gaetz on something; Gaetz is reportedly under investigation for a variety of crimes big and small.

But with more people being dragged into the criminal case, it lays the groundwork for more people to sell each other out to try to save themselves, and it’s looking more and more like everyone in this particular circle of associates will end up being brought to justice for whatever they did.
