Looks like Jack Smith is about to indict Donald Trump AGAIN

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Given that DOJ Special Counsel Jack Smith’s criminal investigation into Donald Trump has been running on (at least) two tracks all along, it’s been fairly obvious for awhile that Smith would end up indicting Trump on at least two sets of charges. For all the public attention that the classified documents probe has gotten of late, it’s only half the story. In fact it may be less than half the story.

All along, Smith has also been investigating Trump for trying to overthrow the United States government after losing the 2020 election. Given the subpoenas that reportedly went out, Smith is targeting Trump for everything from the January 6th insurrection to the related fake electors plot. And given that Smith has gone as far as getting the courts to order Mike Pence to testify against Trump in this plot, it’s seemed clear that Smith already decided awhile ago to charge Trump in the plot.

The mainstream media has been all over the place lately in terms of acknowledging this. Some TV pundits have tried to act as if the classified documents indictment is all Trump has to worry about, while some others have pointed out Smith probably is just getting started with bringing charges against Trump.

Now Bill Barr has appeared on a Sunday morning show and stated the obvious: Jack Smith is likely to criminally indict Donald Trump in the January 6th case this summer. Barr may or may not be a witness in this case, so it’s not clear if he’s working with any inside information about the case. But even if he is, it would be very limited, strictly to the aspects of the case that involve his testimony.

But because even Bill Barr is now on TV acknowledging that Jack Smith is indeed likely about to indict Trump again, it makes it difficult for anyone in the media to stick with the narrative that Trump can get himself off the legal hook just by somehow magically making the classified documents indictment go away.

So now we’ve suddenly got people in the mainstream media telling us “not to sleep” on Jack Smith’s January 6th case, and that “Trump could be a target.” Well duh. Of course Trump is the target. The mainstream media always makes a point of being as far behind the curve on these stories as possible, and deliberately downplays their seriousness, right until they’re up against it. But now we’re reaching that point where the media is presenting the obvious outcome as at least having some chance of happening, which means that the obvious thing is probably about to happen quite soon.

It seems a logical given that Jack Smith will indict Donald Trump for 2020 election overthrow related matters before Fulton County DA Fani Willis does, given that the Feds customarily always look to “go first” in matters of overlapping jurisdiction. Willis’ indictment of Trump seems hard wired for the second week of August. This suggests that Jack Smith’s election-related indictment against Trump will happen before that. That would mean it’s probably just a few weeks away.
