Looks like Donald Trump could owe E. Jean Carroll even more money
Donald Trump has already lost $83 million to E. Jean Carroll, and he’s been forced to post a $91 million bond in that trial while the appeal plays out. You’d think Trump, who’s facing too many other legal problems to count, would have the sense to shut up about Carroll. But Trump actually has no sense at all.
Trump has spent the weekend attacking and smearing Carroll on his social media account. In this matter there’s no gag order or anything; Carroll would have to file new legal action against Trump in order to punish him for his post-trial attacks on her. But Carroll has previously signaled that she’ll do precisely that if Trump can’t keep his mouth shut.
So now we wait to see if E. Jean Carroll does indeed file a new case against Donald Trump. Given that she got $83 million out of him last time, and the jury would likely see him as a repeat offender this time, the resulting verdict could be stratospheric.
It’s also worth noting that Trump’s attacks on Carroll – just days before he’s set to go on criminal trial – suggest that Trump knows it’s all over for him. In his depraved mind, what does he have to lose if he’s losing everything?
