Robert Mueller doesn’t look too happy
On Sunday morning, a Democrat from the House Judiciary Committee went on Fox News, with the full knowledge that Donald Trump had to have been watching, and made a point of revealing that Special Counsel Robert Mueller is tentatively scheduled to publicly testify on May 15th. Trump then took to Twitter and opined that Mueller shouldn’t be allowed to testify, setting off a firestorm. So where is Mueller in all this?
Let’s just say that Robert Mueller doesn’t look too happy. Mueller was hanging out last night with David McCallum. Depending on your generation, you’re either going to recognize McCallum as Illya Kuryakin the Man from U.N.C.L.E., or Ducky from NCIS. That’s right, this is how Robert Mueller now spends his time – and good for him, after having spent the past two years of his “retirement” working diligently to expose Donald Trump’s crimes. But the real upshot of this photo may be just how utterly serious and unhappy Mueller looks in the moment it was taken. Is this because he wasn’t happy about being photographed, or because he just pissed off at how thoroughly William Barr tried to screw him?
Maybe we shouldn’t read too much into it. In any case, it’s a reminder that a very serious and very respected former FBI Director, who just spent two years digging up the crimes committed by an illegitimate President of the United States, is now apparently just eight days from going in front of the television cameras to explain his findings directly to the American people, after the Attorney General lied to everyone about the findings. It doesn’t get much more serious than that.
