Look at these losers
Donald Trump once said that if he became president, there would be so much winning, we’d get sick of winning. Of course his politics have always focused on losers. He panders to white people who think they’ve unfairly lost something because white privilege isn’t quite as potent as it once was. And he panders to those who are still loyal to the confederacy, 150 years after it got its racist butt kicked.
Now Trump says it’s a good thing that a handful of U.S. military bases are named after confederate generals, even though there’s a bipartisan effort in the Senate to rename them. The thing is, these confederate generals aren’t just traitors who violently attacked the United States in the name of keeping slavery intact. They’re also huge losers. Just look at this breakdown from California Assemblywoman Buffy Wicks:
.
Fort Bragg. Fort Hood. Fort Benning.
Confederate Braxton Bragg died in 1876 after a series of defeats.
Confederate John Bell Hood was decisively defeated at the Battle of Nashville.
Confederate Henry Benning surrendered w/Lee's army in April 1865.
