From the day he took office, Donald Trump’s approval rating has been so low that he was always going to have a hard time getting reelected. The thing is, for all his screw-ups, for all his scandals, for all his crimes, his low approval rating never has seemed to go much lower. There have always been a minority of people who were just unwilling to give up on the guy now matter how horrible he was.
But now the United States is up against a worldwide pandemic. Tom Hanks is infected with it. The NBA just shut down its entire season after learning one of its players was infected with it. This is real – and Trump is a fake President in every sense of the world.
It turns out Trump is indeed capable of losing longtime supporters over this, because he just lost one:

So Trump lost this supporter just based on how he’d been handling things prior to yesterday.
