Longstanding criminal referral against Donald Trump finally revealed

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump’s entire strategy for getting away with everything was always based on winning the 2020 election and then remaining in power indefinitely, so that his ugly secrets never would come out. Now that he’s lost the election, the ugliness is starting to surface accordingly.

For instance, more than a year ago, it was reported that intelligence community Inspector General Michael Atkinson had made a criminal referral against Donald Trump over his actions in the Ukraine scandal. This was the scandal that ended up causing Trump to get impeached. But the Trump regime managed to keep the referral itself buried.

Now that Trump has lost, the Office of the DNI has finally caved in a long running Freedom of Information Act battle with BuzzFeed, and the criminal referral against Trump has been released. It was already nearly a given that Trump would include this criminal referral in the blanket preemptive pardon that he plans to try to give himself, and we’ll see if that pardon gets struck down in court. But the real story here is that what’s left of the Trump regime appears to lack the willingness and/or ability to stop these kinds of things from surfacing.

We’re going to see a lot more of this in the coming weeks. Donald Trump’s dirty criminal secrets are already starting to trickle out of the Executive Branch, and Trump hasn’t even left the building yet. Just wait for how much of Trump’s dirt will be leaked or released once Trump is no longer in charge in 37 days.
