Long road to ruin

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

“Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.” – Abraham Lincoln. This is one of my favorite quotes from anyone ever. It so accurately describes the path to ruination, which is what this article focuses on. This path leads to the garden of evil, which is what waited for these people . One has the chance to turn back, but for Trump sycophants, one rarely does.

Just take a look at all the names before you, people whose characters have been ruined by getting close to Donald Trump, getting close to what THEY perceive as power.

Lindsey Graham

Nikki Haley

Megyn Kelly

JD Vance

Josh Hawley

Tulsi Gabbert

Ben Shapiro

Tim Scott

All the J-6ers

Oh, there’s more – many more. But Amid the nauseating sycophancy, a few got away.

Michael Cohen

Chris Christie

John McCain

But think of the path to ruination– an evil path that is capable of stealing souls and reducing one to a melting gibberish-talking maniac. That is just what happened to everyone who gave in to this dangerous path.

There is not one name I listed whose life will ever be the same.

Haley will always be known as a waffler, a flip-flopper.

Tim Scott’s “I love you” to Trump will go down in history as words spouted by a fool.

Megyn Kelly has has genuflected herself into utter irrelevancy.

Lindsey Graham willingly gave away the ability for anyone to take him seriously.

Perhaps it will end after Trump goes to prison. Maybe after he loses this election, it will end.

But maybe not. Maybe the dance of darkness, the road to ruination will continue.
After all, as Lincoln said power DOES expose a person’s character. And AFTER it’s exposed, after the person has traveled this most perilous path, there maybe no coming back.

For these people? The ones discussed here? I am not so sure. This is because all of these people share a common denominator. And it isn’t love for Donald Trump. It’s their ability, their NEED, to walk this path, to utterly and completely destroy themselves.
