Lindsey Graham just gave something away

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Yesterday Lindsey Graham announced that he was refusing to take a coronavirus test ahead of the Senate debate, even though Democratic candidate Jaime Harrison and the moderators had all agreed to do so. At the time, the question was whether Graham was just trying to get out of the debate because he was afraid he’d lose, or if he really did think (or know) he had coronavirus.

Now Harrison has announced that the debate hosts have changed around the format in order to keep everyone safe from the potentially contagious Graham, in order to accommodate Graham’s refusal to take a test. This leaves Graham with no excuse not to show up.

If Lindsey Graham still doesn’t show up tonight, it’ll mean he’s indeed a chicken. But if he does show up now that he won’t be required to take a coronavirus test, it’ll mean that he really does fear that he caught coronavirus from the Trump White House cluster, and that a positive test result could harm his already-teetering Senate reelection prospects.
