Lindsey Graham hits the panic button
Lindsey Graham warned Donald Trump on Sunday that he’s in danger of losing the election. Well, we knew THAT. Appearing on Meet The Press, Graham begged Trump to focus on policy.
Apparently alarmed, Graham said Trump can still win this election — if he pivots. “If you have a policy debate, he wins.” I disagree with that. Graham further added that if Trump sticks to what he’s doing now (acting like an asshole), he may lose the election,
My thoughts? One knows it’s bad when Trump’s most devoted puppy is so alarmed that he makes said alarm known on national television. Through Trump’s horror spree, I doubt anyone has been more loyal to him than Lindsey Graham.
Graham has stood by, defended, and spoken up for him. This shows us that Trump’s behavior is so unhinged that even Graham can’t do it anymore. Is Graham sending an SOS to the Trump campaign? If so, they will ignore it.
Why will they ignore it? Because the Trump team can’t pivot — they have nothing to pivot to. I write this on 8/18/2024. In ALL this time — can you name me ONE Trump policy? Of course not, because there ARE none.
Trump can’t pivot to something imaginary. The GOP has not one policy to their name except Project 2025, which Trump is desperate to distance himself from. So Graham can plead and beg all he wants, but Trump has nowhere to pivot to—and I think, on some level, Graham knows that.
