Lindsey Graham hits rock bottom
One knows things are looking bad for them when OJ Simpson is mocking them. Yes, this happened. It happened to Lindsey Graham. Graham, who appears to have been in a perpetual state of tears since Trump’s indictment, appeared on Hannity to beg for money — but not for himself — for Donald Trump.
Ah, Lindsey — you are indeed one of the tyrant’s last of the faithful. You hang on to his every word, quote him, fight for him, and make yourself look like a bloody fool for him. When will you learn, Lindsey? The answer to that question is never.
“We got one last chance here to straighten this out,” Graham said, pleading for folks to hand their hard-earned cash over to Donald Trump. “Please help President Trump!” If Lindsey Graham is anything, he’s a mistake that never learns. It’s hard not to feel rather sorry for the man.
His downward spiral has been breathtakingly fast.
“Pray for this President!’
Does Lindsey even realize how little respect the American people have for him? And if he does know, does he care?
“If you can afford 5 or 10 bucks.”
Friendships, when they exist, have to be two-sided. Has Lindsey ever asked himself — what has Trump done for HIM? What is the value of this relationship?
I suppose to some who suspect Graham is being blackmailed; the value lies in Trump’s keeping his mouth shut about Graham. But to others who do not believe the blackmail theory, the whole thing is somewhat perplexing.
It is that way because it’s difficult to believe this one man would throw his good name and his political future away for an ingrate such as Trump.
“If you got any money to give, give it.”
I think perhaps we need to pray for Lindsey Graham. He’s like a lone sailor, adrift at sea bewitched by a cruel siren, completely dumbed down, whole soul is encompassed by one man’s song — the Trump song.
Only Trump’s song is about rage and terror, and hate. It’s too bad Graham does not realize that. And judging by his behavior, he probably never will.
