Let it go already, we’ve got work to do
The other night news broke that Merrick Garland’s Justice Department is investigating Donald Trump. It was news that Palmer Report and our readers already knew. But it was quite a night as many pundits had to admit what we knew to be true. SOME pundits, that is. Incredible as it might seem, many are not letting go of the narrative that Garland is doing nothing.
Now you might think that’s impossible — after all, it’s confirmed. But never let it be said that political pundits cannot get mighty inventive when needed. And it is not just the pundits. Many whiny Democrats are still as morose as ever before. Here are bits of what they’re saying.
Garland is just SAYING that so he won’t be attacked anymore for doing nothing. Garland spoon-fed the questions to Lester Holt in the NBC interview. The only reason Garland is investigating is that the negative Nellies raised a stink. Without them, there would BE no investigation.
The Washington Post article really doesn’t say that — read it yourself. We’re doomed because — we’re doomed—no reason given. As we go forward, it’s essential to drown out the voices of the people who say these types of things.
One thing I will admit is that years ago, I had no idea how many on our OWN side did this type of thing. I’d likely not have believed it at one point. But I have seen the evidence with my own two eyes. It is frustrating but also infuriating. And it is doing real damage. So let’s TRY at least to tune them out and get on with the business of winning.
