Leave it all on the field
Election Day is tomorrow. After four years of a grueling and brutal fight to keep American democracy safe from a psychotic criminal, we’re nearly at the finish line. By every possible election metric, we’re winning. We’re way up in the polls. We have the edge in the swing states. We’re organized. We have momentum.
But there’s still some work to do – and none of it involves watching television. We can do that after the polls close on Tuesday night. Between now and then, we have to put all of our time and effort into getting this victory across the finish line. Make a plan to vote, if you haven’t already. Take friends with you. Call your friends and family in swing states and remind them to vote. Volunteer to phone bank in swing states. If you’re only going to spend one day of your life doing political volunteer work, today and/or tomorrow is it.
Let’s leave it all on the field. I don’t believe in optimism, but I believe in evidence – and the evidence overwhelmingly says that we’re going to win. Those odds will climb even higher if we spend these final two days giving our every last waking minute to the cause of electing Joe Biden as President of the United States, and ending the Trump nightmare once and for all.
