Donald Trump has deranged late night meltdown about Brett Kavanaugh

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

We all knew it was coming. With new accusers coming forward left and right, and Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination rapidly circling the drain, Donald Trump wasn’t going to be able to maintain the faux-diplomatic approach he’s been taking for the past week. Sure enough, late tonight, Trump exploded on Twitter about Kavanaugh in a manner which was equal parts deranged, and simply bizarre.

Here’s what Donald Trump tweeted, which by now he may have deleted, considering the surreal autocorrect fail involved: “The Democrats are working hard to destroy a wonderful man, and a man who has the potential to be one of our greatest Supreme Court Justices ever, with an array of False Acquisitions the likes of which have never been seen before!” We presume he meant “False Accusations.” This is the first time Trump has gone so far as to flat out claim that Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and Kavanaugh’s other accusers are lying. Then it got stranger.

Just one minute later, Trump followed it up by tweeting “REMEMBER THE MIDTERMS!” The responses to this tweet were far less than charitable. Respondents quickly began making jokes along the lines of “REMEMBER THE TITANS!” and “REMEMBER THE ALAMO!” But the real trouble here is that Trump was asking us to “remember” something that hasn’t happened yet. Was he trying to tell us to remember the Kavanaugh controversy when we get to the midterms? Is it possible that Trump is so far gone, he now thinks the midterms have already happened?

In any case, the Brett Kavanaugh nomination is now in so much trouble, Donald Trump has reached a point of desperation where he’s melting down about it on Twitter like a psychopath with rabies. This can only get worse as Kavanaugh’s cascading scandals continue to push this nomination further down the drain.
