Donald Trump just finished holding a coronavirus press briefing that was such a disaster, nearly every major TV network cut away from it long before it was over. Instead of taking this as a sign that he should take a step back and reevaluate his approach, Trump is now doubling down on the lunacy tonight. Trump is now jealously attacking Joe Biden:

This is the way the @nytimes finished a story on me. “You can see the contrast between the steady, assured, informed and strong leadership that VP Biden (Sleepy Joe) has shown, and the bungling, chaotic and dishonest start-stop approach that Mr. (not Pres.) Trump has shown us since the beginning of this crisis.” They meant the opposite? Forgot to mention that I closed our Country to China (and Europe) very early, long before it was considered acceptable to do so. Sleepy Joe said I was “xenophobic”, but I saved thousands of lives! Fake News!

Here’s what’s weird. Trump doesn’t seem to understand that by quoting the New York Times’ criticism of him this extensively, he’s merely amplifying that criticism. Trump is literally tweeting about himself being “bungling, chaotic and dishonest” – yet he’s so lost in the weeds, he doesn’t appear to understand what he’s doing.

Trump is also guilty of once again interjecting his own additional words into a quote in order to change its meaning, which is not how anything is supposed to work. He’s whining that the Times referred to him as “Mr. Trump” in the final sentence, even though it referred to him as “President” earlier in the article. This guy is such a baby – and he’s completely losing it.
