When Donald Trump woke up this morning, he couldn’t even be bothered to acknowledge 9/11 before he launched into a lying rant about Hillary Clinton on Twitter. Then he traveled to Shanksville to give a 9/11 speech and humiliated himself by pumping his fists in celebration. Then he insisted that he handled the Puerto Rico hurricane aftermath perfectly, even as Senate Democrats exposed that he stole money from the hurricane fund in order to kidnap more immigrant children. Now, at the end of one of his worst days yet, he’s launched into a deranged late night meltdown.

Even as Bob Woodward was making the rounds on cable news to discuss his newly released book about Donald Trump and his failing White House, Trump decided that it was time to launch into a whacked out rant about – who else – former FBI Director James Comey. Trump posted this bizarre quote from disgraced attorney Alan Dershowitz:

“You know who’s at fault for this more than anyone else, Comey, because he leaked information and laundered it through a professor at Columbia Law School. Shame on that professor, and shame on Comey. He snuck the information to a law professor who collaborated with him in giving the information, and causing the appointment of a Special C without having the courage of his own convictions.”

Donald Trump then asked this question: “In other words, the whole thing was illegally and very unfairly set up?” He also quoted Congresswoman Maxine Waters as saying that if the Democrats take control, they’ll impeach Trump and Mike Pence both. If nothing else, Trump is right about that last part. But his crazed meltdown won’t distract anyone from today’s real stories: he’s a mentally incompetent traitor who’s unraveling by the hour.
