Biden administration just shoved Trump’s last minute NSA appointee out the door

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Just before leaving office, Donald Trump made the inappropriate and bizarre move of installing Michael Ellis as NSA General Counsel. The move was so odd that it’s resulted in widespread speculation about what Trump was accomplishing.

Palmer Report predicted that Ellis wouldn’t last long once President Biden took office. Sure enough, CNN is reporting tonight that the Biden administration has placed Ellis on administrative leave and has launched an Inspector General investigation into what Ellis is even doing there.

Our guess is that Ellis will either end up being fired or reassigned to a position of zero influence on a remote base somewhere. In any case, he’s already been removed from the job for the duration of the investigation. This means the guy lasted a whopping eight hours into the Biden era before he got shoved out the door. Whatever Trump was trying to do by installing Ellis, it’s apparently failed already.
