Andrew McCabe will get the last laugh over Donald Trump
While selling out America to conspire with Russia to steal the 2016 election is likely what Donald Trump will go down for, he also sealed his fate on February 14, 2017 when he asked FBI Director James Comey to end his investigation into Mike Flynn, Trump’s first National Security Adviser. Comey would go on to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee that Trump told him, “I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go.” We would later learn that Comey shared the details of all of his conversations with Trump with three other individuals in the FBI – Andrew McCabe, Jim Baker, and James Rybicki.
Jim Baker, who served as General Counsel, was reassigned in December 2017. James Rybicki, FBI chief of staff under Comey, was forced out by Republican pressure in January 2018. Now FBI Deputy Director McCabe has been fired, just two days short of receiving his full pension. Within hours of the news of his firing, Trump couldn’t contain his sense of vengeful accomplishment by tweeting out about the sudden termination.
This deliberate purging of the very people Comey shared his conversations with will not go unnoticed by those in the Department of Justice or even Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Just as Comey has been able to move on and continue his patriotic demand for justice, while also writing a book that will likely make him a good deal of money, I’m sure the others that were wrongly deposed from the their positions in the FBI will also be successful.
Using Donald Trump’s own tweets against him, Andrew McCabe will likely be able to sue to receive his full pension. In the end, all those that were pushed out by childish revenge will get the last laugh as they watch those still in the FBI and the Special Counsel making sure that Trump will die penniless in prison.
