Kyrsten Sinema flames out
Let us have a bit of a fireside chat about a certain Arizona Senator who is not having a very good year. That would be Kyrsten Sinema. Every week, it appears, the dislike for Sinema gets stronger. And every week, she continues to betray her voters.
Polls show if Arizona Senator Kyrtsen Sinema ran for reflection today, she would lose badly. It is getting more difficult to imagine this woman staying in the Senate after 2024. The calls are getting louder and louder for someone to primary her, and I believe someone will. And after the midterms, this November, likely the DAY after, the 2024 election will kick-off.
In the MEDIA that is. That is just what they do. It’s what happens in politics. The last race is barely done before we’re on to the next. After all — the media needs their ratings. Sinema will almost certainly is challenged. But here’s a thought. What if she doesn’t run at all?
This writer thinks she will not. How can she? She has no reputation left. The ballroom is empty, and the party is over. Sinema stands alone, a tiny violin playing off in the distance.
Perhaps she will become a lobbyist. That is undoubtedly the prevalent school of thought, although how she would be happy with that, I do not know. But there is a small chance she will still run. Why? Because of denial. And because of what continually comes up in regards to politicians — hubris.
Here is the latest example of hubris from Sinema. Let them eat — cookies? According to correspondent Pablo Manriquez when he asked Sinema what the Senate should do to protect the rights of Trans people, she replied:
“I’m going to get a cookie, but my staff will happily answer.” Shocking, isn’t it? Not really, if one thinks about it. If Madison Cawthorn represented Icarus, Sinema could be the female version. Do you not notice the EXACT same cockiness, arrogance, and immaturity as with Cawthorn? Sinema might REALLY believe she has a chance in 2024. She might just be that delusional.
There seems to be contempt about her, yes? She sometimes appears to mock her constituents and the press with little thought as to how foolish she looks to the public at large.
But Sinema has suffered a Shakespearean fall from grace that she will not be able to recover from so easy and likely not at all.
