Donald Trump brings out Jared Kushner as his press conference sinks to an all-time low
Donald Trump’s press conference was already off to a terrible enough start today – full of lies, self congratulation, and weird swipes at President Obama – when Trump announced he was leaving the stage and would return later. Then Mike Pence briefly lied, before turning things over to Jared Kushner. Yes, that’s right, Jared Kushner.
MSNBC, to its credit, cut away from Kushner the second he started talking, and didn’t go back to the press conference until Kushner was done. CNN ended up cutting away after Kushner had been babbling for a few minutes. If you missed it, you didn’t miss anything.
Jared Kushner sounded like a twelve year old who was nervously reading aloud a book report to the class, and hoping that no one noticed his mommy wrote it for him. The whole thing was incredibly embarrassing. The President of the United States, who is botching this response on a level that’s tantamount to mass murder, thinks we need to hear what his idiot son-in-law has to say about the matter. Give us a break.
