Kremlin claims Tucker Carlson as one of its own
Tucker Carlson is the new poster child for Putin talking points. We all know that. But it would appear his network — Fox non-news is revving up to be the chosen network of the Kremlin.
This is evidenced by an interview with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. And Lavrov was not at all shy in his effusive and gushing praise of the non-news station: “So we know the manners and the tricks which are being used by the Western countries to manipulate media. We understand long ago that there is no such thing as independent Western media. If you take the United States, only Fox News is trying to present some alternative points of view.”
This statement shows the danger of Fox perhaps more than any recent words I’ve heard. It is not just one pundit anymore – or two or four. It’s the whole kit and caboodle. Fox is a danger. This is because Fox non-News has become a Putin propaganda network with a bit of help from some of its more insidious hosts.
Fox is a Trojan Horse. It is a Trojan horse that was allowed to sneak into the secure walls of our country — and it is, like any evil gift, doing its pervasive work in facilitating the ruination of many people.
That the Kremlin prefers them is very telling. And why wouldn’t they? There is not so much of a difference between Fox and Russian state TV. In fact, I cannot think of many contrasts. So I feel we have a duty to warn people we might encounter . We must explain who and what this network is all about.
We must tell people: beware of Republicans bearing gifts. Beware of Fox. They have the ability to turn one’s mind inside-out with their “up is down, right is left” propaganda. We should be doing everything we can to warn people.
