Know your enemy
Say you have two jewels. One of them is the Ruby. It glows an angry red. It seems to burn the eyes of anyone who dares to gaze upon it. Its depths are so red one could see nothing else. But if the Ruby is the fire, then the Sapphire is the ice. This blue jewel has a gentle, healing, cooling effect. It is as azure as a lone wave cresting over ocean waters. Its depths are a mixture of vivid blues, and the total effect is beautiful. It glows with vibrancy and imagination. It is the color of freedom, the color of the Democratic party.
And it will fall to us to explain to voters why they should pick the sapphire and not the ruby. And in that regard, we’re getting a bit of help. That help is coming from the GOP. In the wake of Trump’s indictment, the republican party has lost their minds. It is perhaps bizarre, but if anything, many Republicans have become MORE protective of Trump.
They’re calling for Jack Smith to testify before the House. Gym Jordan’s loud and abrasive voice has become even louder, more splintering. Kevin McCarthy, carefully coaxed by Marjorie Taylor Greene, is running to the defense of his beloved.
The beloved. Their beloved being Donald Trump. But as Republicans forge ahead, continuing to screw up their party, they have made one major mistake. They have forgotten about the middle. Ah, yes, the amethyst. It exists and is a cool shade of purple. These voters are turned off by stupid stunts like what the GOP is doing now. These voters are repulsed by people like Greene and Gaetz.
And right now, the craziest republicans of all are the face of their party. This is what we wanted, and this is what they’ve given us. It’s a gift because now we can firmly connect the whole of the Republican party to the crazy ones. The Art of War tells us know thy enemy.
We DO know the GOP. We know that there is almost nothing they won’t do for Donald Trump. And we know they’ve lost sight of the fact that there is an election coming up. Their every waking movement is all about Donald Trump now. What a GREAT way to lose!
And loose they will with a bit of help from the sapphire. Because the GOP has forgotten there even IS a middle. They’ve forgotten that the needs of the voters come before them. They remain clueless about the fools they are making of themselves. And we need to use that as we head into the political war of 2024.
