Kiss my ass
Donald Trump has won the election, the American people have spoken, and there’s a sentiment out there that we should just leave it at that. Let’s just give in, recognize a mandate when we see one, let Trump have what he wants, and root for him to succeed. I have a simple message for these people: kiss my ass.
Where do I even start with how wrong of a sentiment this is? For starters, Trump doesn’t have any sort of mandate. He got less than 50% of the popular vote. He only won the election by about 1% nationwide and by about 1% in the deciding swing states. This is one of the narrower elections we’ve had. There is no mandate.
For that matter, Trump only won because the (entire) mainstream media spent the election cycle dishonestly destroying the incumbent President and forcing him out of the race with 100 days to go, while dishonestly downplaying the convicted felon status and severe dementia of his opponent. The American people are certainly stupider and less decent than we thought they were. But the media went out of its way to trick the American people into handing power back to Trump.
So no, there’s no electoral legitimacy to this upcoming Trump “presidency” whatsoever. More to the point, this isn’t a simple matter of ideological disagreement. This isn’t a situation where an incoming conservative President wants something reasonable and we want something different but reasonable and so we meet in the middle. Not at all. How exactly do you meet Trump in the middle when his “foreign policy” consists of vowing to invade all of our allies? How do you meet Trump in the middle when “financial policy” consists of pressuring media outlets and social networks into donating to his inauguration fund in implied return for not prosecuting them?
This isn’t a presidency. It’s a sadistic crime ring. Trump hasn’t even taken office yet and he’s already intentionally weakening the United States on the world stage for his own corrupt purposes, all while sticking his own hand in the till. This isn’t someone you cooperate with. To meet Trump in the middle would be to become a co-conspirator in the crimes he’s committing and will commit.
And are we really supposed to meet Trump in the middle when he starts ripping immigrant children away from their parents again? What are we supposed to say, that he can only kidnap one child per family? We’re not making deals with this psychopath. We’re just not.
We’re not going to work with Donald Trump for the betterment of the United States because Trump isn’t going to be working for the betterment of the United States. He couldn’t care less about this country or anyone in it. He’s a senile convicted felon who only ran to try to stay out of prison, and now that the media has treasonously handed the election to him (again), he’s going to try to use his win to rape and pillage the nation (again).
We’re not working with this guy. We’re not meeting him in the middle on anything. We’re not going to give in and let him have his way so he can do evil. We’re going to fight him every step of the way. We’re going to stop him on every front that we can. And when he ends up doing serious damage anyway, we’re going to look at the idiots who voted for him and scream “We told you so!” Then we’re going to win next time and destroy his depraved movement once and for all.
In the mean time, when anyone tells me that I should be working with “President Trump” or letting him have his way, my message will remain simple: kiss my ass. I’ll be over here working to save the country from Trump. And I know many of you will be fighting right there alongside with me.
