Kim Jong Un is already screwing with Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

When Donald Trump recently announced that he had somehow magically fixed everything between the United States and North Korea, and that he was going to sit down with his new buddy Kim Jong Un for friendly negotiations, something didn’t smell right. It was far too easy of a victory for the bumbling Trump, who has zero understanding of foreign policy, and therefore loses every time he tries his hand at it. Sure enough, North Korea is already screwing with Trump.

Donald Trump has made clear that he’s willing to give away the store to Kim Jong Un, just so he can pretend he finally scored an international victory. The politically crippled Trump doesn’t care how bad of a deal he cuts with North Korea, so long as he can cut a deal; all he cares about is being able to take credit for it back home. But North Korea is already making a point of publicly insisting that Trump doesn’t deserve any credit for any of it.

A spokesperson for Kim Jong Un has announced that Donald Trump is “misleading public opinion” by taking credit for recent progress between North and South Korea, and that “This act cannot be construed otherwise than a dangerous attempt to ruin the hardly-won atmosphere of dialogue and bring the situation back to square one.” So why is Kim already screwing with Trump?

The short answer may simply be that Kim Jong Un is a miscreant who enjoys causing trouble, and he knows that Donald Trump is weak and vulnerable. Is Kim already putting things in motion to make Trump look a like a fool, so he can take credit for having humiliated the President of the United States? Stay tuned, because even as everything else goes wrong for Trump, he keeps insisting that North Korea is his salvation. It sounds like it may end up being his biggest folly to date.
