Kim Jong Un is reportedly near death tonight

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $2097 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer

2020 is already turning out to be the most strange, weird, dark, ugly, and bizarre year in recent memory. We’re in the midst of a deadly pandemic and worldwide economic collapse. We’re stuck with Donald Trump. Now things have taken an even more surreal turn, as North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un is reportedly near death tonight.

CNN reporter Jim Sciutto called in to Chris Cuomo’s show tonight to report that Kim Jong Un has undergone some kind of unspecified surgery and is currently in “grave danger” of dying. Details are very thin, but some observers on social media have pointed out that Kim’s family has a documented history of heart trouble.

While no one is going to miss Kim Jong Un if he dies, the reality is that his death could serve to further destabilize North Korea – particularly if he dies during a pandemic. We’ll see where this story goes, but it’s yet another bizarre twist in a bizarre year.
