Lindsey Graham has incoherent meltdown about killing Donald Trump’s cat, or something

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Donald Trump’s latest attack on Dr. Christine Blasey Ford was equal parts disgusting, disturbing, and head scratching. The questions it raised are obvious: Why does he feel compelled to hurt his own cause by saying things like this? What is wrong with him? What is he even incoherently trying to say? Now it turns out Lindsey Graham, whose meltdowns have become so deranged he’s arguably managing to outpace Trump and the equally unstable Brett Kavanaugh, has taken things to a whole new level.

Lindsey Graham was asked what he thought of Donald Trump’s attacks on Ford. Lindsey started off with a reasonable response before quickly veering into… well, judge for yourself: “President Trump went through a factual rendition, that I didn’t particularly like, and I would tell him to knock it off. You’re not helping. But it can be worse, you can actually kill somebody’s cat, and puncture their tires to get them to shut up.” Wait, what?

Graham is clearly saying that he wants Trump to shut up. Then he begins talking about more forceful ways to get someone to shut up. So is he suggesting he might do these things to Trump? Is he aware that Trump doesn’t even have a cat? Or is he bringing up random horrible things that someone can do to get another person to shut up, so he can point that he hasn’t done these things? At one point he mentioned the name of a Bill Clinton accuser, so who really knows.

This is part of an increasingly disturbing pattern of behavior from Lindsey Graham. He’s completely switched allegiances, he’s acting totally out of character, he’s ruining his career and reputation, and now he’s rambling about how he might kill (or not kill) Donald Trump’s nonexistent cat. Lots of people think Graham is acting this way to try to convince Trump to appoint him as Attorney General. But this has to be something else. Graham has cracked, and no longer comes off like a mentally stable person. Is he cracking under the pressure of Trump blackmail, or has he simply lost it?
