Kevin McCarthy is down the rabbit hole already

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The process of indoctrination take different amounts of time for different people. It can take years for some, while for others it’s a matter of months. For Kevin McCarthy, all it took was the promise of the Speaker’s gavel.

Kevin McCarthy has always been a bad guy but he never before openly embraced the crazy. One remembers his words, secretly recorded, where he argues vehemently that Trump is to blame for inciting January 6. I am certain those are words Kevin prefers we forget.

Only we never will. To understand the newest Speaker of the house, one must understand that power is the only thing that matters to him. He has shown that through both words and actions. And now Kevin is embracing the crazy like never before. McCarthy seems to have embraced Marjorie Taylor Greene as his biggest confidante.

We saw it in the way she went to bat for him to be Speaker. And now we see it in Kevin’s repeatedly turning to her for help and advice. McCarthy has also put Greene in a position of power which is a dangerous thing to do.

Reportedly McCarthy has been glowing about Greene, telling people close to him how much of an ally she is and how she’s gone to bat for him. This of course, is a false narrative. Only Kevin does not know that because he’s been indoctrinated. It happened fast with Kevin. All it really took was some cheap words of flattery.

He folded so quickly it was wonder he is still standing. Or is he?Kevin McCarthy isn’t really any different than Donald trump. Vanity is Kevin’s sweet spot. It’s his tipping point, his point of fallibility. Pretty words of sympathy were all that was needed to seize control of Kevin’s ego and hold it in a vicelike grip.

And it will cost him. Kevin McCarthy has yet to learn what’s ahead. The price he will have to pay will be huge, but he doesn’t understand that because he has been lost to his own ego. The horror when he finds out — and he WILL find out — will be something to see.
