Kevin McCarthy gets booed
Predictions are not always predictions. Sometimes they’re logical outcomes to something that can not HAVE any other outcome. Kevin McCarthy, are you listening? McCarthy is a man walking toward imminent disaster. He may not have a clue about this. His arrogance simply might be too much of a buffer. But make no mistake, McCarthy has gambled away any political future that he might have.
He gambled this away by playing both sides of the fence. And with those actions, he lost BOTH sides. It’s such a timeless tale. Could McCarthy really be that clueless? Well, yes. I’m afraid he could. McCarthy is no leader; he is more a supplicant. His despair will be in full bloom when he never becomes House Speaker.
Of course, I could be wrong. I do not pretend to have all the answers. That would be exhibiting the type of hubris this writer loathes. Still, the pendulum has begun its merciless swing — away from Mr. McCarthy.
At Donald Trump’s Wyoming rally over the weekend, McCarthy was booed — booed. By the very people, he has fallen all over himself to impress. As McCarthy began his speech, the irritation with him was palpable. And the boos started.
This is not surprising. There was never any other outcome that could have existed. McCarthy showed cowardice. He showed fear — and desperation. Desperation and fear are not good things to show, especially to Maga. They detest them and, like sniffing dogs, they can smell them. And McCarthy should have known this.
And Trump? When those McCarthy leaked tapes saw the light of day, Trump released no angry statement again McCarthy. He didn’t have to. He knew his sycophants could easily do the job for him. McCarthy, every single week that flies by, gets more irrelevant. Lessons learned? Hardly. McCarthy does not learn anything, and that is what caused his whole political demise.
