Kevin McCarthy completely loses the plot
United States Republican and champion marathon runner, Kevin McCarthy, is not stopping in his eternal quest to realize his dream of being House Speaker. In his latest flailing move, McCarthy has promised that if the GOP takes back the House and he becomes Speaker, he will launch an investigation into Hillary Clinton.
Don’t they ever stop? What is WITH the Republicans’ non-stop obsession with Hillary? Are they really THAT threatened by her? “It’s clear that Congress must exercise its oversight responsibilities,” Miserable McCarthy says.
I would assume that the “responsibility” of any House member is to look after the American people. And maybe find out the truth about the January 6 assault on democracy and our friends in blue. It appears those things are not priorities for McCarthy.
Instead, he wishes to waste the American people’s time by drumming up phony scandals about a woman McCarthy isn’t fit to be in the same room with. I happen to think the GOP — particularly men like McCarthy — are threatened by Clinton.
She has strength these idiots can only dream about. Although for Kevin, his only dream really appears to be becoming House Speaker. That’s why he must fail. I hear the pundits. I know what they say. I know why they say it. But it’s all for ratings. We can keep the House. It will mean lots of work. But we can do it.
And we must. I happen to think if the GOP DID take back the House, one of the first things they would do is dump McCarthy from any chance of obtaining his precious speaker role.
This is because nobody likes him. McCarthy has the unique privilege of being hated by almost everybody on BOTH sides. Finally, something the American people can agree on. It’s likely that the tantalizing dream runner McCarthy salivates over will remain elusive — and eventually fade altogether as failed dreams tend to do.
But the GOP cannot be allowed to win. It’s likely that if they did, whoever became their Speaker would do the same thing McCarthy is saying he wants to do. So we must fight. I’ve said it before. This election is going to be so important. We have the chance to achieve all our dreams. And unlike McCarthy, we might actually see them come to fruition. We just need to work hard to make it possible.
