The pressure of impeachment and a failing presidency seems to be getting to all of Donald Trump’s remaining advisers, as they’ve all begun acting even more frantic and self-defeating than usual. Then there’s Kellyanne Conway, whose behavior has always been so over the top, Saturday Night Live once portrayed her as a knife wielding psychopath. So perhaps we shouldn’t be shocked that impeachment has turned her into, well, basically a metaphorical version of a knife wielding psychopath.

After reports surfaced that Donald Trump was considering Kellyanne Conway as his new Acting White House Chief of Staff, the conservative-leaning Washington Examiner wrote an article about it, while also including some anti-Trump tweets from Kellyanne’s husband George Conway. This apparently enraged Kellyanne to the point that she had her assistant call up the reporter, then quickly jumped on the line herself and began berating the reporter.

In response, the Washington Examiner has published the transcript of the entire exchange – which indeed reads like something out of an SNL sketch. Here’s a portion of what Kellyanne said to reporter Caitlin Yelek: “Let me tell you something, from a powerful woman. Don’t pull the crap where you’re trying to undercut another woman based on who she’s married to. [George Conway] gets his power through me, if you haven’t noticed.”

Kellyanne Conway also said “if you’re going to cover my personal life, then we’re welcome to do the same around here” – seemingly threatening to have the White House investigate the reporter’s personal life. Apparently Kellyanne thought she was off the record when she was saying these things, but she wasn’t. In any case, you can read the entire berserk transcript here.
