Kellyanne Conway suffers malfunction

No one was all that surprised today when Rudy Giuliani, whose cognitive function has been in steep decline for some time now, endorsed a candidate named “Don James” who didn’t exist. What was surprising was when another Donald Trump apologist, Kellyanne Conway, found a way to top Rudy in the swing-and-miss department.

We’re still not sure why Kellyanne Conway canceled her planned political rally in Michigan. She blamed travel problems, but we’re not buying it. In any case, that wasn’t the worst of it. After canceling her rally, Kellyanne went on Twitter and – you guessed it – endorsed a Michigan candidate who doesn’t exist. She endorsed someone named “Bill Schuster” before deleting it and replacing it with an endorsement of Republican candidate Bill Schuette. Between the cancelation and the Rudy-like flub, we’re left to wonder what’s really going on with Kellyanne Conway.

In any case, the tendency of Team Trump to endorse people who aren’t running, or people who don’t exist, has recently become something of an epidemic. Earlier this week Donald Trump tried to endorse Republican candidates Troy Balderson, Denver Riggleman, Jason Lewis, and Erik Paulson, but he ended up mistakenly tagging other random people who happen to have those same names, including an actor and a guy in Canada.
