Kayleigh McEnany tests positive as White House coronavirus outbreak gets even uglier

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

As the Trump White House coronavirus outbreak continues to spread and climbs into the double digits, it’s been fair to wonder why certain members of Trump’s inner circle were exposed to the virus but ended up nothing catching. As it turns out, some of them are just taking longer to test positive than others.

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany announced on Twitter just now that she tested positive for coronavirus today, after having tested negative every day prior to today. She has no symptoms yet. It’s not clear if she caught it at the Rose Garden super spreader event nine days ago, or more recently, but the virus can take up to fourteen days to show up in someone’s system.

Notably, Kayleigh McEnany is insisting that when she held a mask-less press briefing on Thursday, she had no idea that she’d been exposed, because she hadn’t been made aware that Hope Hicks had tested positive on Wednesday. This is extraordinarily difficult to believe.

One way or the other, the truth about the Trump White House coronavirus timeline will come out. We wish Kayleigh McEnany well with her health, but it’s nearly a given that she won’t be the last person in Trump’s orbit to test positive.
