Somewhere right now, even as I write these words, a certain lake, filled with dark and disgusting muck has reached overflow status. It would be so nice, would it not readers, if I could cheerfully report that failed candidate Kari Lake has given up her futile fight and retired among bucolic gardens somewhere (far away) in the countryside? Alas, that has not come to pass.

Instead, the darkness has been gathering like an angry storm-cloud and has now exploded, resulting in maladaptive and abnormal behavior that even rivals that of Donald john trump. Lake has filed a lawsuit demanding she is declared the rightful winner of the Arizona governor’s race.

That’s basically what the litigation says. ABC reported that the lawsuit seeks “extraordinary, unprecedented, and likely unlawful relief.” Lake’s attorney is none other than the man who represented the infamous Cyber Ninjas, which should tell you everything you need to know. In this lawsuit, Lake names Katie Hobbs, the elections director, and the office of Maricopa county’s board of supervisors.

Just another day at the Lake. And she actually asks in her lawsuit that the court declare her the rightful winner. I’m sure Katie Hobbs is laughing all the way to the Governor’s mansion.

This lawsuit is 70 pages long and actually demands either Lake be declared the winner or a new election be held immediately. I’ve got news for Lake — nobody really cares WHAT she does. I’m reporting on it because it’s a big story. But surely, Lake cannot think she could ever WIN this lawsuit.

Perhaps her denial is stronger than we guessed. Here’s the thing, though. It is simply pathetic. People often talk about driving by car accidents and looking even when they don’t want to. That sort of describes this story.

It is fascinating (in a rather repulsive way) to see a person literally ruin their life in real time as the world watches. Why is she doing it? Could she possibly be this delusional? Has she ever been told the word no before? And does her political career stand a chance of surviving? I can answer that last question. Not a chance. And she did it all to herself — with a bit of help from Maga.
