Donald Trump pulls a Karen

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump is fuming, as Twitter has put fact checking on some of his tweets, finally to trying alert the public to his lies and deceit. Today, the platform refused to show his latest racist and inflammatory garbage.

“These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen,” Trump tweeted. “Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!”

Recall, on the other hand, white protestors when they stormed the Michigan state house with heavy arms and threatened police officers, when he tweeted: “The Governor of Michigan should give a little, and put out the fire. These are very good people, but they are angry. They want their lives back again, safely! See them, talk to them, make a deal.”

White people, “very good people;” black people, “thugs.” This is not the first differential that Trump has made. We have a Karen in the White House.

When Trump tried from White House to retweet the first tweet, Twitter stopped that as well. The executive order that Trump signed this week does nothing to prevent Twitter from stopping this dangerous man. For too long, they have sat by and done nothing as Trump spews lies, incites violence, and attacks repeatedly. But for Zuckerberg, it appears to have worked, as he said Facebook is going to do nothing.
