Kanye West is not well

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Kanye West’s imaginary presidential campaign has already imploded, with the people around him admitting that he’s not really running for president. Yet Kanye is still carrying out the charade – and it now appears that he doesn’t know it’s a charade.

Kanye held a “campaign event” today in South Carolina. During this event he attacked Harriet Tubman, used the F-word while insisting he doesn’t care if he wins, and cried for awhile. Not surprisingly, his own audience at the event ended up turning on him. Here’s the thing, though.

Kanye is playing an incredibly dangerous game of screwing with the election by pretending he’s running for president when he isn’t. He’s really not in a position to change the outcome of the election – but the last thing we need is a fake making a mockery of the electoral process like this.

More to the point, Kanye West is clearly not well. He’s coming across as someone who’s pretty deep into self destruction, and perhaps in danger of self harm. It’s an open question as to whether anyone around him is willing or able to get him the help he needs, because he’s already well past the point where it should have happened.
