Kamala Harris drops the hammer on Brett Kavanaugh
Over the weekend, the New York Times published a mountain of damning evidence when it comes to the numerous sexual assault allegations against Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. This has brought Kavanaugh, a screaming crying lunatic who was caught red handed committing felony perjury on live national television, back into focus.
These new revelations have prompted several prominent Democrats to call for Brett Kavanaugh to be impeached. Among them is Democratic Senator and 2020 presidential candidate Kamala Harris, who minced no words on Twitter: “I sat through those hearings. Brett Kavanaugh lied to the U.S. Senate and most importantly to the American people. He was put on the Court through a sham process and his place on the Court is an insult to the pursuit of truth and justice. He must be impeached.”
Kamala Harris then appeared on the Rachel Maddow show on Monday evening to further spell out her case for impeaching Brett Kavanaugh. Harris explained that even if the Republican Senate is ultimately unwilling to remove Kavanaugh, the mere process of impeaching him in the House could be enough to send a message. Harris also raised the issue of appointing an outside counsel to review the charges against Kavanaugh.
We think we know where this is heading. House Democrats already have Brett Kavanaugh nailed for felony perjury, which comes with a prison sentence. Once Donald Trump is gone, they can refer Kavanaugh to the DOJ for prosecution. At that point Kavanaugh’s only out would be to resign in exchange for no prison time.
