Donald Trump just caved

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

After it was reported last night that Donald Trump thinks U.S. military personnel are “losers” and “suckers” for serving their country, insult was added to injury this morning when the news broke that the Trump regime had been secretly planning to eliminate funding for the military’s “Stars and Stripes” newspaper.

As Palmer Report is fond of pointing out, whenever Donald Trump gets caught trying to secretly do something awful, and there’s significant backlash, he usually caves. Sure enough, he just posted this tweet: “The United States of America will NOT be cutting funding to @starsandstripes magazine under my watch. It will continue to be a wonderful source of information to our Great Military!”

So score one for the good guys. But don’t let Donald Trump try to spin this as if he were somehow doing something good for the military. He’s the one who tried to eliminate funding for Stars and Stripes to begin with, presumably so he could shove the money into corrupt pockets instead. Of course, after his “losers” and “suckers” remark, does anyone believe this guy cares about the military anyway?
