Just another crook

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Now, we know why Donald Trump and Elon Musk are so enamored of each other. They really are proverbial birds of a feather. Futurism reported that Musk is under federal investigation for violating the terms of his security clearance. Perhaps “criminals of a feather” might be more accurate. What’s this all about anyway? It has to do with Space X, which the New York Times reported has repeatedly failed to comply with federal reporting protocols. These protocols are in place for a reason. They are designed to protect sensitive information, but Musk has refused to provide full details of his meetings with foreign leaders. NYT reported that the Defense Department’s Office of Inspector General and the Air Force and Pentagon, under the direction of the Secretary of Defense, also initiated investigations. Nominating Putin-loving Gabbard wasn’t enough for Trump, and let’s not mention his theft of classified documents. Hell, they’re probably all in it together. Trump and Gabbard both repeatedly talk about their love of this country, but they must mean they love selling out the country. Now, we have Musk in the mix as well.

As for Musk, the Air Force recently denied high-level security access because of potential security risks. Musk had been able to slide by because of disclosure rules, which prevented his employees from discussing his malfeasance. Now that he is poised to be part of the government under his criminal “president,” the government is paying closer attention. He has already joined Trump on calls with foreign leaders, and his employees are concerned about his ability to handle sensitive information. He spends all his time posting on X and has posted about “diplomatic meetings.” In other words, he’s bragging about himself like a typical narcissist. The concern is real that he might leak sensitive information. Trump has several people about whom the government should be worried, especially Tulsi Gabbard. In her position as the leader of intelligence, she will be privy to all kinds of sensitive information. Should they trust her not to give it to Putin? At least they’re looking closely at Musk for now.

Specifically, neither Musk nor his employees have been providing information about travel and some of his meetings with foreign leaders. He has also failed to report any drug usage, including prescription drugs. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) expressed her concern: “[T]o have someone who has major contracts with the government who would be in a position to pass along-whether deliberately or inadvertently-secrets is concerning.” According to NYT, Shaheen had already asked the Air Force and Inspector General of the Defense Department to investigate Musk’s conversations with foreign leaders, including Putin, to ensure that none of those conversations were inappropriate. NYT stepped in and asked Frank Kendall, secretary of the Air Force, for details, he not only refused information to them but to Shaheen as well.

This is very concerning. We have a felon in the White House who is appointing unqualified, and some might say dangerous people into his administration. Hopefully, we will survive Trump’s “presidency” with the country still intact.
