Judge Sullivan just scored a big victory over Michael Flynn and Bill Barr
Yesterday Judge Emmet Sullivan formally asked the entire U.S. Court of Appeals to overturn a ruling that Michael Flynn’s criminal case must be thrown out. At the time, Palmer Report explained that if Sullivan was successful in convincing the court to do this, it would be a major blow to Bill Barr.
Now it turns out the U.S. Court of Appeals has granted Judge Sullivan’s request to hear the case. This is half the battle, as the court could have simply denied Sullivan’s request to hear the case. So what are his odds of prevailing?
Former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner tweeted that he “strongly” suspects the court will end up siding with Judge Sullivan. We’ll see what happens. But it’s clear that Bill Barr isn’t going to be able to get Michael Flynn off the hook easily, like he was hoping.
