Judge Merchan slams Donald Trump’s attorney
Half the problem with being Donald Trump’s attorney is that it’s a matter of time before he tries to scapegoat you for his crimes. The other half of the problem is that until he throws you under the bus, you have to represent his insane legal positions with a straight face.
To that end, Trump defense attorney Todd Blanche was forced to go into court and argue to Judge Merchan that Trump has done his very best to abide by the gag order. This is absolutely laughable, as Trump has been repeatedly violating it on purpose.
This prompted the judge to slam Trump’s attorney, declaring that “you are losing all credibility.”
This is a bad sign for Trump. It’s only day two of the trial, and the judge has already fully lost patience with Trump’s legal team. This means that the judge is not going to be inclined to give Trump and his team even the slightest benefit of the doubt if they need it later in the trial.
